This view is one of my favorites to paint. From the bridge, you can gaze out over the glade, where herons often grace the landscape and the tide ebbs and flows with the changing light.

It's a perfect spot to pause along the Junction-Breakwater Trail. I love capturing this scene for the winding marshlands and the play of light and shadows upon them.

The gestural brushstrokes give the painting a sense of movement, while also conveying the serene stillness of the landscape.
