Summer Shadows No. 2
Summer Shadows No. 2
11 x 14 inches
Inspired by the large piece in this collection, I recreated it again in a smaller and slightly varying original painting. Again, the serene beauty of the Gordon’s Pond trail, a beloved pathway that bridges Rehoboth Beach with Cape Henlopen State Park. The painting immerses viewers in the tranquil marshland, where the boardwalk weaves through a landscape of golden light and deep shadows. Iridescent paint in gold and copper highlights the ever-changing dance of sunlight on the foliage, evoking the warmth and richness of the feeling of being completely immersed in nature.
This smaller painting is a tribute to one of Delaware’s most iconic trails, inviting you to experience its peaceful beauty and the sensation of being enveloped by nature every day.
